* Backing the Expedition “Bizkaia Environment-Garbiker Everest ‘97”. We walkED with the Bizkaia mountaineers on this adventure. One of the actions by this group was to dispose of rubbish at the Base Camp and on the nearest glacier (following the thaw out season) where very old waste lay. A total of 1,078 kg of rubbish was collected.
* PELOTA GARBIKER OPEN 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. The Bizkaia Federation of Basque Pelota, in conjunction with Garbiker as sponsor, organized the Open Championship disputed in the summers, in the infants, junior and adult categories playing double hands, one league competing in each category in one turn, with a total of forty and two pelotari (pelota player) title holders taking part in each of the competitions.
