Berziklatu

Berziklatu was established to manage the voluminous waste products generated in the Historic Territory of Bizkaia.

Voluminous waste is intended for reusing and recycling its components and to evaluate what can not be made use of.

Reuse: all objects normally collected from the home, on prior appointment, are graded and taken to the recovery establishments where they are cleaned, repaired and put on sale as second hand objects. EMAUS-BILBAO is the body responsible for this task.

Recycling raw materials: non-reusable voluminous materials. Materials that can now be recycled are textiles, wood and scrap, ferrous and non-ferrous materials from the white line, the brown line and the grey line (refrigerators, televisions, computers …). These are all separated, graded and deposited with the authorized manager.

Evaluation: waste products not suitable for reuse or recycling are sent to the authorized manager (incinerator, controlled tip).
