The green spot
This is the sign that appears on the packaging materials of companies who have adopted the Integrated Management System (IMS) of packaging waste.
The IMS guarantees, within its field of application, compliance with the aims of recycling and upgrading dealt with in the law.
The green spot identifies packaging materials of companies that are participating in the integrated management systems scheme which finances local entities the corresponding part.
Identification of different types of plastic.
It may be placed on packaging materials made from recycled material in the percentage indicated within the circle.
Mobius circle:
Suggests that the packaging material is recycled and recyclable or biodegradable. Its use is not endorsed by any official identification system but, nevertheless, it helps to increase environmental awareness.
It identifies the plastics of two or more layers joined together and that are in contact with the food. The words "for domestic use" may be added, or "suitable in accordance with the European standard for wrapping foodstuffs".
A better environmental culture invites the user to deposit the packaging material in a recycling bin.
